These tender, dainty cookies are rolled in chopped walnuts and topped with half of a festive candied red cherry. This recipe was handed down from my mother, who is now 93. I remember helping her bake them for Christmas when was I was a kid. She used to hide them to save them for guests, but I always found them! This cookie is still one of my family's holiday favorites.
